This privacy policy explains how vocatext.com ("VocaText", "we", "us") collects, uses and discloses your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

We collect, use and disclose personal information for identified purposes: providing the transcription service, operating and securing the site, processing VocaText Pro subscriptions, responding to your requests, measuring audience, displaying advertising, and meeting legal obligations. By using the site or providing information, you consent to these purposes; you may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

We disclose personal information to service providers acting on our behalf: hosting (Cloudflare, Inc.), analytics and advertising (Google), and payment processing (Stripe). We do not sell your personal information.

5. Transfers outside Canada

Your personal information may be processed and stored outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union, by our service providers, and may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We use contractual and other measures to protect it.

6. Retention

Contact-form data is kept for 3 years from the last contact; connection data and technical logs for up to 12 months; cookies for up to 13 months. Uploaded audio is deleted immediately after transcription.

7. Access and correction

We protect personal information with security safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, against loss, theft, and unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
