This privacy policy explains how vocatext.com ("VocaText", "we", "us") collects, uses and discloses your personal data, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Personal data we collect
- Identification data: name, email address, phone number, voluntarily provided (e.g. contact form);
- Usage and connection data: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, date and time of connection;
- Audio files uploaded for transcription: processed in real time and deleted immediately afterwards; never stored;

3. Purposes and lawful bases
We process personal data on the following lawful bases under Article 6 UK GDPR:
- Providing the transcription service and responding to your requests - performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps;
- Operating, securing and improving the site - our legitimate interests;
- Audience measurement and advertising - your consent;
- Meeting legal obligations - legal obligation.
4. Recipients and processors
We disclose personal data to processors acting on our behalf: hosting (Cloudflare, Inc.), analytics and advertising (Google), and payment processing (Stripe). We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of our processors are located outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, in particular the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Retention
Contact-form data is kept for 3 years from the last contact; connection data and technical logs for up to 12 months; cookies for up to 13 months. Uploaded audio is deleted immediately after transcription.
7. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on it. To exercise these rights, email contact [at] vocatext [dot] com, together with proof of identity. We will respond within one month.
8. Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.
9. Complaints
If, after contacting us, you consider that your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):
